Woman Charged with Attempted Murder Following Newmarket Stabbing

Newmarket Stabbing Leaves Man Hospitalized in Serious Condition

A 46-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing incident in Newmarket, Brisbane, early this morning. Emergency services were called to a storage facility on Enoggera Road around 10 a.m. after reports that a 45-year-old man had been stabbed.

The injured man, a resident of Holland Park West, was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital by a passerby in a private vehicle. He is currently in serious but stable condition.

Police detained the woman at the scene and later charged her with attempted murder. She has been remanded in custody and is expected to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 28. Authorities report that the two are known to each other but are not in a relationship.
