Woman Charged in Fraud Case Involving Elderly Nursing Home Resident

Over $18,000 Allegedly Stolen in Camden Area

A 46-year-old woman has been charged with 52 offences in connection to alleged fraud against an 89-year-old nursing home resident in Camden. Police investigations began in October 2024 after reports of financial misconduct.

Authorities claim the woman, while caring for the elderly victim, carried out 311 fraudulent transactions, stealing over $18,000.

She was arrested at the nursing home on November 18 and later charged with 35 counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage, larceny, and driving while disqualified (16 counts).

Bail was refused during her appearance at Moss Vale Local Court, with a follow-up court date scheduled for January 14, 2025. Investigations into the case continue as police work to ensure justice for the victim.
