Women Arrested for Assaulting Security Guard at Elizabeth Interchange
Two women were charged following a stabbing incident at the Elizabeth Interchange on October 23. Police responded to the scene around 6:30 pm after reports of a security guard being attacked. A 34-year-old security guard was found with a serious arm injury and taken to the hospital for treatment.
The two 27-year-old women were arrested, one of whom had assaulted the security guard after stealing from a nearby store. During the arrest, a police officer was also assaulted, suffering minor injuries. One woman was charged with theft and granted bail, while the other faced charges of assault and resisting arrest, and was denied bail. Both will appear in court in late November.
