Police Recover Three Bodies After Search and Rescue Operation
Police have recovered the bodies of a woman and two children following a drowning incident in Sydney’s southwest. Emergency services were called to Shearer Park in Lansvale around 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, after reports that a woman and two children were in distress in the water.
Despite efforts from bystanders and emergency responders, the 32-year-old woman could not be revived. After an extensive search by police and marine rescue teams, the bodies of a 5-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy were recovered around 2 p.m. Investigations are ongoing, and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
