Police Arrest Teens Following Break-In and Stolen Jaguar Incident
Three male juveniles have been charged following an alleged break-in and car theft in Burleigh Heads, Queensland, on October 28, 2024. Around 9 a.m., a Jaguar SVR SUV was reportedly stolen from a residence on Amazon Circuit in Helensvale.
Police tracked the vehicle until it stopped on Tawarri Crescent in Burleigh Heads. Upon exiting the vehicle, the three suspects, allegedly armed with knives, attempted to flee but were swiftly apprehended after a short foot chase.
The suspects, aged 15 and 16, face various charges. A 16-year-old from Coomera was charged with unlawful vehicle use, while a 15-year-old from Southport faces additional charges, including break-and-enter, receiving tainted property, fraud, driving without a license, and resisting arrest. Another 15-year-old, from Riverview, is similarly charged with offenses related to breaking and entering, vehicle theft, and fraud.
All three juveniles are set to appear in Southport Children’s Court on October 29, 2024. Police have indicated that further investigations are ongoing.
