Police Arrest Trio Following Failed Stealing Attempt in Coomera

Three individuals have been charged after an alleged attempted theft at a Coomera shopping center on September 27, 2024. Around 4:50 pm, two men, aged 23 and 26, reportedly entered a jewellery store on Foxwell Road and tried to break a glass cabinet with a tyre iron. They fled without taking any items and rejoined a waiting vehicle.

Police intercepted the vehicle on Creek Street shortly after, arresting the trio. The 24-year-old driver from Mount Warrant Park was charged with driving without a licence, evasion, wilful damage, and entering premises with intent. The two other men, from Coomera and Upper Coomera, were charged with wilful damage and entering premises with intent to commit an indictable offence.

All three have been remanded in custody and are set to appear before Southport Magistrates Court today, September 28.
