Reckless Jet Ski Riding Leads to Arrests at Half Moon Bay
Three men were arrested after a jet ski was dangerously operated near swimmers at Half Moon Bay on Saturday. Authorities observed the jet ski speeding in a no-boating zone, narrowly avoiding multiple swimmers. Police apprehended the suspects at a nearby boat ramp, where one man allegedly assaulted an officer.
The suspects, aged 21, 22, and 24, face various charges, including conduct endangering life, assaulting police, and hindering police. Investigations are underway into potential linked offenses from earlier in the day.
Police urge the public to report any information or video footage to Crime Stoppers as part of their efforts to address reckless behavior on waterways. With summer approaching, authorities are intensifying operations to ensure safety amid increased boating activity.
