14-Year-Old Charged with Multiple Offences After Police Pursuit
A 14-year-old boy has been charged after a police pursuit on the Central Coast early Friday morning. The teenager allegedly stole a vehicle involved in two break-and-enter incidents where liquor stores were rammed, and alcohol was taken. Police initiated the pursuit around 2am after the vehicle failed to stop in Umina Beach.
With assistance from PolAir, the pursuit ended at a Umina Beach home, where the teen was arrested. A search of the property uncovered items of interest. The boy was charged with various offences, including aggravated break and enter, reckless driving, and unlicensed operation of a vehicle. He was refused bail but later granted conditional bail at a children’s court. The case will continue on November 22, 2024.
