Drivers Hospitalized After Collision on Tweed Valley Way
A major regional road remains closed after a serious crash near Murwillumbah earlier today. Around 12:45 pm, emergency services responded to a collision between a Volkswagen Passat and a Subaru Forester on Tweed Valley Way near Clothiers Creek Road.
The male driver of the Passat was airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital in serious condition. The female driver of the Forester was also taken to the same hospital by road. Tweed/Byron Police have established a crime scene, and the Crash Investigation Unit is investigating the incident.
