Second Man Charged for Displaying Nazi Poster in Hyde Park

Police Take Action Against Hate Symbols

Police have charged a second man for allegedly displaying a Nazi poster in Hyde Park on Sunday, 6 October 2024. At approximately 2:45 PM, officers from Operation Shelter observed a 56-year-old man putting up a poster featuring a Nazi swastika. The police intervened, removing the poster and speaking to the individual. 

On Monday, 7 October, authorities charged him with knowingly displaying a Nazi symbol without excuse. He received a court attendance notice to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on 21 November 2024. Investigations under Operation Shelter are ongoing, highlighting the commitment to addressing hate symbols in public spaces.
