Raptor Squad officers made a significant seizure of firearms, drugs, and prohibited weapons during a search at a home in Horsley Park on 8 October 2024. Acting on a firearm prohibition order, the officers discovered six firearms, including a shortened double-barrel shotgun, three pistols, and two muskets.
Along with the weapons, the officers confiscated ammunition, nunchaku, 11 kg of cannabis, 30 g of methamphetamine, cocaine, and cash totaling $2,350.
A 47-year-old man was arrested and charged with multiple offences, including possession of unregistered firearms, supply of prohibited drugs, and possession of prohibited weapons. The man faced Fairfield Local Court on 9 October 2024, where bail was denied. He is scheduled to reappear in court on 20 November 2024 as investigations continue.
This raid highlights the ongoing efforts of the State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad to curb illegal firearms, drugs, and weapons within the community.
