Police Seek Public Help After $25,000 Mining Equipment Theft in Beechworth

Wodonga Detectives Investigate Shipping Container Theft

Wodonga Crime Investigation Unit is appealing for information following the theft of a shipping container in Beechworth. The incident occurred between 1:30 am and 5:15 am on November 16 at a property on Flat Rock Road.

Unknown offenders used a prime mover, described as a white Mercedes Actros towing two trailers, to load and steal the container. The container contained mining equipment valued at $25,000.

CCTV footage and images of a truck and a man wearing a black singlet, shorts, and black shoes have been released. Investigators urge anyone with information to come forward and assist in their inquiries.
