Driver Impounded After Allegedly Being Nearly Five Times Over Limit
A 62-year-old woman in North Geelong had her car impounded after allegedly driving with a blood alcohol reading of 0.244, nearly five times over the legal limit. Police set up a booze bus on Ballarat Road and intercepted her Hilux ute just after 2:30 PM.
The woman’s vehicle will be impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1,305, and she is scheduled to appear in Geelong Magistrates’ Court at a later date. Authorities continue to emphasize the dangers of drunk driving and the importance of adhering to road safety regulations.
