A Bold Scam: Graceland Almost Auctioned in Fraudulent Scheme
A Missouri woman, Lisa Jeanine Findley, has been arrested for allegedly orchestrating a fraudulent scheme to auction off Elvis Presley’s iconic Graceland property.
The 53-year-old woman falsely claimed that Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis’s daughter, had pledged Graceland as collateral for a loan that she supposedly failed to repay before her death in 2023.
Using fabricated loan documents, Findley published a bogus foreclosure notice in a Memphis newspaper, announcing the auction of Graceland to the highest bidder in May.

The scam targeted Promenade Trust, which manages the Graceland museum and was inherited by Lisa Marie’s daughter, Riley Keough, after her mother’s passing.
Keough quickly filed a lawsuit, claiming that the foreclosure notice was fraudulent. The court intervened, halting the auction with an injunction.
The notary involved also denied any involvement, raising further doubts about the authenticity of the documents.
The Tennessee Attorney General’s office initially investigated the case before handing it over to federal authorities, who confirmed Findley’s arrest.
