Man Dies in Tragic Boating Incident on Murray River

Investigation Underway After Fatal Boating Accident in Moama

A 51-year-old man has died following a boating incident on the Murray River near Moama. Around 7:25 PM on Saturday, emergency services responded to reports of a man falling into the water at Perricoota Waters.

The incident occurred when the boat he was in suddenly stopped after a water skier it was towing fell. The man was pulled ashore and treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but sadly passed away at the scene.

The water skier was unharmed. Police have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
