Traffic Stop Leads to Major Drug Bust Near Griffith

A man was charged with commercial drug supply after a traffic stop in New South Wales. On September 27, 2024, police were called to the Sturt Highway near Darlington Point after a car hit a kangaroo. Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered over 44kg of cannabis in the boot.

The 30-year-old man was arrested and charged with supplying a commercial quantity of prohibited drugs. He appeared in Wagga Wagga Local Court and was denied bail, with his next appearance at Griffith Local Court.
