Man Charged with Arson and Criminal Damage in Albert Park

Over 20 Cars Vandalized and Bins Set Ablaze

A 39-year-old man has been charged after allegedly vandalizing more than 20 vehicles and setting bins on fire in Albert Park. The incidents occurred overnight between September 29 and 30, with approximately 20 cars on Carter Street and Canterbury Road damaged. 

The suspect also reportedly lit bin fires on Dundas Place and Brooke Street from October 2 to 3. Police arrested the man in Dandenong on October 4. He has been charged with criminal damage and arson and is set to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on October 18, 2024.Source police.vic.gov.au
