Man Charged for Knife Possession at Brisbane Bus Station

Police Respond to Incident at Roma Street

Brisbane City police charged an 18-year-old man with possessing a knife at a bus station on November 18, 2024. Officers responded to Roma Street around 2:30 pm after reports of an armed individual.

The man, from Tarragindi, allegedly had a 30cm hunting knife in his waistband. Upon police orders, he dropped the sheathed knife on the ground without making any threats to the public or officers.

The man faces one charge of possessing a knife in a public place and is scheduled to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on November 20.
