25-Year-Old Arrested in Connection with South Coast Shooting Incident
A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged following an alleged public shooting and vehicle fire in New South Wales’ south coast. On October 18, 2024, police were called to a residence on Links Avenue, Sanctuary Point, where they found a bullet hole in a window, prompting an investigation.
As authorities examined the incident, reports emerged on October 24 about a man allegedly brandishing a firearm on Berry Street in Nowra.
The case took another turn on October 25 when police located a burned BMW 3 Series near Yalwal Road, West Nowra, believed to be linked to the case.
Following further inquiries, authorities conducted a search at a home on Maclean Street, Nowra, with assistance from the Southern Region Enforcement Squad. There, they arrested the suspect and seized items reportedly related to the investigation.
The man now faces multiple charges, including firing a firearm at a dwelling, possessing an unauthorized firearm, vehicle theft, arson, drug supply, and driving while disqualified.
He was denied bail and is set to appear in Nowra Local Court on October 30, 2024. Police continue to pursue the investigation, aiming to uphold public safety and bring justice to the victims.
