Man Arrested After Shooting at Police in Victoria’s South-East

Arrest Follows Shots Fired at Police in Dumbalk North

A man has been arrested after firing shots at police in Dumbalk North, Victoria, on Thursday. Illicit Firearms Squad investigators were executing a firearms warrant at a Foster-Mirboo Road property around 1:30pm when the resident allegedly opened fire. 

Detectives returned fire but were not injured. The 56-year-old suspect was found injured at the scene later that afternoon and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Armed Crime Squad detectives are now investigating the incident.
