Four Teenagers Charged After Rock-Throwing Incident in Cairns North

Teenagers Face Charges Following Grievous Bodily Harm Incident

Four teenagers have been charged following a grievous bodily harm incident in Cairns North on October 19. It is alleged that a rock was thrown through a train window, striking a 5-year-old boy in the head. 

The child suffered serious injuries and was transferred to Townsville University Hospital before being discharged. Two 14-year-old boys were arrested on October 21, with two more arrested on October 23. 

All have been charged with endangering the safety of a person in a vehicle with intent. Investigations are ongoing, and the teenagers are set to appear in the Cairns Childrens Court in November.
