Alleged String of Car Thefts and Burglary Attempts Lead to Arrests
Four teenage boys have been charged in Canberra after allegedly stealing several high-end vehicles and attempting to break into homes in September 2024. On September 28, the boys reportedly drove a stolen Audi sedan to Denman Prospect, where they tried to enter two homes but fled after failing to gain access.
Later that night, they allegedly drove the stolen Audi to Yarralumla and stole a grey Aston Martin, silver Bentley, and grey Porsche from a residence, abandoning the Audi in Weston.

The boys were captured on CCTV at a Holt petrol station filling up the stolen cars and leaving without paying. On the morning of September 29, police spotted the stolen Aston Martin and Porsche on Southern Cross Drive in Belconnen but were unable to stop the vehicles as the drivers sped away, driving on the wrong side of the road to evade police. The vehicles were later found abandoned in Macquarie, Macgregor, and Nicholls.
After investigating, police executed a search warrant in Macquarie on October 3, arresting two of the boys involved in the burglaries. The other two were arrested on October 10 at the same address.
The group is also suspected of stealing a black Audi SQ5 (ACT registration YPJ 66H) from Red Hill on October 3 and a black BMW X2 (NSW registration EYF 90F) from Sydney on October 8, both of which have not yet been recovered.

The four boys, who were already on bail for previous offences, have been charged with various crimes, including aggravated burglary, driving a vehicle without consent, and possession of stolen property. Two boys have already appeared before the ACT Children’s Court, while the other two will face court on October 10.
