Investigation Underway Following Tragic Helicopter Incident
A man has died in a helicopter crash near One Tree, about 40km west of Hay, NSW, on Friday, November 22, 2024. Emergency services arrived at Corrong Road just before noon after receiving reports of the crash.
The passenger, believed to be in his 40s, was treated by paramedics but tragically died at the scene. His identity is yet to be confirmed. The pilot, a 39-year-old man, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Melbourne Hospital in stable condition.
A crime scene has been established by Murrumbidgee Police District officers. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) will investigate the cause of the crash, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
