Authorities Respond to Hazardous Smoke and Traffic Incident

Police have declared an emergency under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) on the Logan Motorway near Kingston and Loganlea due to a two-vehicle traffic crash involving a b-double. The incident occurred around 8:15 PM, prompting emergency responders to act.

As a result, an exclusion zone has been established along a section of the Logan Motorway, including the Wembley Road off-ramp and on-ramp, Station Road, and Kingston Road. Eastbound traffic is being diverted, while westbound lanes have reopened.

Motorists and the public are advised to avoid the area. Individuals within the exclusion zone should remain indoors and keep windows closed until further notice to ensure their safety from hazardous smoke.
