In the early hours of the morning, a carjacking took place near the intersection of Findon and Epping roads in Epping. At around 1 am, a 20-year-old man driving a silver Toyota Prado was approached by a group of offenders while stopped at a red light.
The attackers, who had been following the victim in a second vehicle, demanded that he exit his car before assaulting him. The offenders then fled the scene in the stolen Toyota. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the Toyota remains missing as the police continue their investigation.
