Tragic End to Nepean River Search
Police divers recovered the body of a 68-year-old man from the Nepean River near Mulgoa, south of Penrith, on Sunday morning. The man had jumped into Nortons Basin around 11 AM on Saturday to retrieve his fishing rod and failed to resurface.
The search, involving Nepean Police Area Command and the Police Dive Unit, resumed at 9 AM and concluded with the discovery at 10:40 AM. Authorities are preparing a report for the Coroner.
