Firearms Used in Sydney Hotel Robbery
In the early hours of Friday, 18 October 2024, two armed men robbed a hotel in Panania, Sydney’s southwest. The robbery occurred at around 1:45 am when two masked men—one wielding a shotgun, the other a pistol—entered the hotel on Anderson Avenue and Braesmere Road.
They threatened staff and patrons before fleeing with a stolen sum of cash in a black 4WD and a black Holden Commodore sedan. During the incident, a security guard was assaulted, but no other injuries were reported. Bankstown Police Area Command has established a crime scene and is seeking public assistance to locate the suspects.
