Painful Memories and Unresolved Justice
In December 1990, five men—Trevor Ganter, Salvator Tusa, Edward “Bo” Eldred, Gloe, and Desmond Bei—tragically lost their lives in an arson attack that destroyed the Oakdale Guest House. Although 28 people were in the boarding house that night, police believe the victims were not the intended targets. An argument over cigarettes reportedly sparked the attack.
In 1992, a man was charged with the murders and arson, but the charges were dropped two years later. The case was reopened in 2008 with a reward of $250,000, which has now doubled to $500,000 in hopes of finally solving the case. Families of the victims continue to feel the raw grief and frustration, seeking justice for their loved ones even 34 years later.
