Boy Arrested for Allegedly Threatening Security Guard and Shoplifting in Armidale
A 12-year-old boy in Armidale is set to appear in Children’s Court after allegedly stealing a knife and threatening a security guard at a shopping centre on Beardy Street. Police received a call around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, reporting an armed person.
Upon arrival, officers learned that the boy had reportedly threatened a security guard with a knife. He was arrested at home early on Thursday and charged with armed intent, affray, intimidation, and shoplifting. Released on conditional bail, he is due in court on November 18.
